This garlic herbed spaghetti recipe is easy and quick with comforting flavors. How quick? It literally takes five minutes after cooking the pasta. Homemade spaghetti with a few simple ingredients is a classic dinner recipe. And this version makes for a perfect, quick weeknight meal when served with my easy tossed green salad or even a simple slice of bread.

Preparing this garlic herbed spaghetti is very simple. First we sauté garlic in butter, then add pasta along with a few dry ingredients. Mix it well together for a minute or two and it’s done. It’s that simple! I have made this recipe a few times when I had friends over and everyone loves it.

Italian cuisine is a favorite of many because it’s both easy to fix and (usually) doesn’t take long. This vegan pasta recipe is so good that I could honestly eat it every day. Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp Vegan Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 2 oz Fresh Kale chopped
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley fined diced
  • tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • ½ tsp Dried Oregano
  • ½ tsp Dried Basil
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Crushed Dried Red Pepper
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • cup Water if/as needed

Garnish

  • Lemon Wedge
  • Olive Oil drizzle, optional

Instructions
 

  • Boil spaghetti according to the package instructions. (Optional: add a sprinkle of pink salt and a drizzle of olive oil).
  • Heat a pan on low-medium heat. Add butter and garlic and sauté for 2 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
  • Add lemon zest, kale and parsley and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add cooked spaghetti along with nutritional yeast, oregano, basil, onion powder, red pepper, salt and black pepper. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes (sprinkle some water if it’s sticking to the pan).
  • Remove from heat. Garnish and serve hot!
