This easy tossed green salad is a staple that I have made for my family again and again. It’s packed with delicious textures and flavors and perfect as a side. It’s also easy to customize with your favorite toppings and make it into a main course. Either way, it takes only a few minutes to make and you’re sure to love it! Salads are usually best when served fresh, so add liquids only when it’s time to serve. 

The best thing about this easy tossed green salad is its combination of a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, moist olive oil, sweetness from dried cranberries and a crunch of toasted cashews. It’s a perfect side salad that goes with everything.

Easy Tossed Green Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Whole Cashews
  • 3 oz Mixed Greens
  • 6 Olives chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dried Cranberries
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • pinch Salt or to taste
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the whole cashews until golden brown, then set aside.
  • In a medium size mixing bowl; add greens, chopped olives, dried cranberries, and toasted cashews.
  • Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper and toss until salad is dressed.
  • Serve immediately!
