Masoor Ki Daal (Red Lentil Soup)

Masoor Ki Daal, or red lentil soup, is a very typical Pakistani dish made in every household. It’s almost like a Pakistani national food (like mac and cheese in America). It’s generally served with cooked basmati rice known as ‘Daal Chawal’. It can also be consumed by itself as a soup, depending on one’s preference.
Masoor Ki Daal is one of my very favorite dishes. Sometimes I make it first thing in the morning and enjoy it throughout the day, as breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s that good! I learned this delicious recipe from my mother, who is originally from Karachi. It’s truly a warm, comforting dish on a cold winter day. Or like an embrace after a long, rough day. I hope you LOVE it as much as I do. This one is a MUST try!
